Holla! For those of us who don't have natural majestic cheekbones like Maleficent, there's always contouring and highlighting!
I usually alternate between The Balm's Bahama Mama bronzer and a cooler toned dark cream concealer by Inglot to contour and generally stick to Gorgeous Cosmetics' "Dune" eyeshadow to highlight my face.
With contouring, it's only too easy to mistakenly add a tan-line-gone-wrong to your cheeks. Rather, I try to keep in mind throughout the entire process that the final result should be an emphasised version of the natural shadow under the cheekbones - much like upping the contrast of a photo in Instagram.
You don't want a whole new feature on your face, just to add depth to a feature that is already there. The safest way to make sure it's not too harsh is just to add a little bit at a time and blend as you go.
